Holiday Studio Portraits in Los Angeles
The Perfect Family Gift
Holiday chaos is real. Between school concerts, toy wish lists, and wrapping paper avalanches, finding gifts that actually matter can feel impossible. This Fall at Jess Koehler Studio, I am making it easier than ever with new offerings for holiday family portraits: a petite album, mounted prints, custom holiday card layouts, return address envelopes, and keepsake ornaments. It is all part of my shift toward a full service menu so your holiday gifting feels meaningful and stress free.
More Personality , Less “Perfect”
When kids walk into the studio, I want parents to know it is not about chasing the flawless smile. Some of the best holiday portraits of kids happen when personalities shine through: the missing front tooth, the mischievous glance, or the belly laugh that feels so them. These are the images that will bring joy year after year.
Variations That Tell Your Family’s Full Story
During your holiday studio session, we capture the whole family together, but we don’t stop there. I love creating portraits of each parent with the child(ren), as well as individual portraits of every family member. These variations mean you walk away with more than a single holiday card photo. You’ll have a collection that’s perfect for holiday gifts for grandparents, keepsake albums, or decorating your home.
Why Individual Portraits Matter
At the heart of these sessions are the individual portraits. One day, your kids will look back and see not only what they looked like, but who they were. Their quirks, their spirit, their connection with you. For families with siblings, there is even a bonus: proof that they did, in fact, get along (at least for a few frames). These are the images that add heart and humor to your family story.
Experience You Can Trust
With over 20 years of experience in family photography, my heart has always been in helping families preserve their stories. As a single parent myself, I know how busy this season can feel, and I am committed to guiding you through the process in a way that feels easy and stress free. From planning your wardrobe to designing your holiday cards, I’ll walk you through each step so you can focus on what matters most: being present with your family.
“She is a true artist who understands how to work with people of all ages (and moods) and has a keen eye for light and framing and emotion and minimizing your double chin. Can’t wait to work with her again.” -Joanna N.
“We now have framed photos scattered throughout the home and I love looking back and seeing how much everyone has grown and changed. I’m so grateful for these little time capsules - a beautiful way to honor our family.” - Michaela M.
In the long run, this is worth it. The photos you create this year will carry your family’s story forward, becoming part of the legacy you leave behind.
